<B>Charles Maurice de Talleyrand-Périgord Document Signed</B></I> "Charles Talleyrand". Two pages, folio, Paris, June 5, 1799. 8" x 12.5". A beautiful document with vignette of Miss Liberty. Known as the Prince of Diplomats, Talleyrand worked under the regimes of Louis XVI, through the French Revolution, and then under Napoleon I, Louis XVIII, and Louis-Philippe. He is widely regarded as one of the most versatile and influential diplomats in European history.
