The former captain and naval hero of the War of 1812 writes a letter of introduction which reads in part: “<I>The bearer R. W. Roberts wishes an introduction to you, he will make known to you his object I have therefor sic the pleasure to Introduce him to your notice.</B></I>” Slightly soiled at the folds, else fine. <I>From the collection of Henry E.
