<B>Charles P. Steinmetz 1911 Typed Letter Signed.</B></I> One page, 8" x 10.5", on his personal letterhead, Schenectady, New York, November 14, 1911. Reading in part: "...This I believe is my final payment on your contract and I therefore wish to express my entire satisfaction with the work and the way which it was done..." Forced to leave Germany because of his socialist activities, Charles P. Steinmetz came to the U.S. in 1889 and began working for the General Electric Company. Many of his calculations, discoveries and inventions are still in use today; he received over 200 patents. In fine condition, with properly done tape repairs to fold separations on reverse.
