TLS signed “C. M. Schwab,” one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, May 6, 1931. Letter to Elmer M. Daily, president of the Middle Atlantic League. In full: "I appreciate kindly thoughtfulness in sending me a season pass for the Middle Atlantic League ball parks. Thank you, very much. I hope I may have the pleasure of witnessing some of your games." In fine condition. Believing that athletics made for happier, healthier workers, Schwab had established an internal baseball league among six of his east coast plants: Bethlehem, Lebanon, Steelton, Wilmington, Fore River, and Sparrows Point. The Middle Atlantic League was a lower-level minor league circuit in action from 1925 through 1951, with several teams in Schwab's native Pennsylvania.
