Included in this lot is a framed Charles Russell print of Indian Scouts. Charles Marion Russell (March 19, 1864 – October 24, 1926), also known as C. M. Russell, Charlie Russell, and "Kid" Russell, was an artist of the Old American West. Russell created more than 2,000 paintings of cowboys, Indians, and landscapes set in the Western United States and in Alberta, Canada, in addition to bronze sculptures. Known as 'the cowboy artist', Russell was also a storyteller and author. The print displays a group of five Native American Indian scouts on horseback on top of a small hill. The print shows a grass covered plains landscape with a plateau rising in the background. The print shows Russell's iconic art style and wonderful attention to detail. The print is set into a wooden frame and shows good condition overall, with some light wear on the frame. The frame measures 16" wide by 13 1/4" tall with the art measuring 13 1/2" wide by 10 1/2" tall.
