Title is Three Brothers Pompompasus. Taken by Charles Leander Weed. 8 1/4" by 6 1/2". Very nice original period image. Charles Leander Weed (1824 - 1903) was active/lived in California. Charles Weed is known for Scenic photography. Charles Leander Weed was born in New York on July 17, 1824. Weed came to California via Wisconsin with the Gold Rush. By 1854 he was established in Sacramento at 66 J Street working for portrait photographer George W. Watson. He produced the first photographs of Yosemite and worked with publisher James M. Hutchings.
