Group of six items related to Australian aviator Charles Kingsford Smith (1897–1935), who in 1928 made the first transpacific flight from the United States to Australia. Includes: a flown experimental airmail cover from the first official airmail flight between Melbourne, Australia and London, England, carried aboard Smith's 'Southern Cross' monoplane, signed in fountain pen on the left side, "C. Kingsford Smith"; an original vintage glossy 4.5 x 2.75 of Smith's 'Southern Cross,' signed in fountain pen, "C. Kingsford Smith"; and four original vintage unsigned photographs depicting Smith, ranging in size from 2.75 x 4.5 to 8 x 6. In overall very good to fine condition.
