Charles Kaziun, Jr. 1970 extremely rare gold foil butterfly paperweight with the butterfly sitting inside a cog cane, surrounded by a row of blue and white pastry mold canes and a red and white twist torsade, all set over an opaque turquoise ground. Five and one faceting. Signed on top with a "K" pastry mold cane and on bottom with a gold foil "K". Diameter 2 3/16". Donated by: Bernard Drabeck and Roger Jacobsen.<p>Proceeds from the auction will go to benefit Santa Cruz, California glass artist Steven Lundberg, who, after 30 years of blowing glass locally, was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). This auction is a fundraising effort to help Steve meet the challenges of this disease.<p>Costs of treating ALS over a period of time can be exorbitant. In the short-term, Steve needs basic equipment such as an electric scooter and pointing devices to help him read and write.<p>Please join us for this auction, and help support a friend.
