Nobel Prize winner and vice president under Calvin Coolidge (1865–1951), Dawes shared the 1925 Nobel Peace Prize as architect of the Dawes Plan for World War I reparations. Striking matte-finish 7.75 x 9.75 portrait of the vice president by Eugene L. Ray of Evanston, Illinois, signed and inscribed in the lower border in fountain pen to the famed comedic actor, "For my friend Harold Lloyd, Best regards, Charles G. Dawes, Apl 14th 1928.” In very fine condition.
