This volume is a former library copy, and is stamped (faintly) in several locations, <I>“Skowhegan Library Association, Maine”. </B></I>This copy-dated 1871, the original publication date-appeared during Darwin’s lifetime (1809-1882), and explains and expands on concepts revealed in <I>The Origin of Species</B></I>, his famous first work on evolution, published in 1859.
