Charles Coll is celebrated for his work on the Golden Age <B>Shadow Comics</B></I> series, but he also painted several late forties <B>Shadow</B></I> pulp covers. This gouache on illustration board painting has an image area of 12" x 16.5", and is in Excellent condition. The work was originally painted without logos or type elements and these have been carefully recreated on an acetate overlay so that the work may be displayed with or without the type.
