(Charles A Lindbergh) Original reward poster for the capture of the kidnappers of the baby of Charles and Anne Lindbergh, approximately 15"X22", issued by the Post Office to their employees, interesting content. Reads, "CONFIDENTIAL NOTICE, $25,000 REWARD $25,000, For information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons involved in the kidnapping and murder of, CHARLES A LINDBERGH, JR. The State of New Jersey offers a reward...CONFIDENTIAL NOTICE TO ALL POSTAL EMPLOYEES. Reproduced below will be found copies of envelopes addressed by the persons involved in the Lindbergh kidnapping...This circular is for the information of Postal employees ONLY. Attention is called to certain peculiarities in this writing, such as the letter 'K' and the letter 'T' without crossing. ANY EMPLOYEE WHO OBSERVES ANY HANDWRITING WHICH HE THINKS IS SIMILAR...WILL KINDLY REPORT THE MATTER...AT ONCE..." Signed in print by C H Clarihan, Post Office Inspector in Charge, New York City.
