Issued in 1874 to Philipps and Chandler for 500 shares at $100 each. Signed by George Treat as president. The company operated at Cherry Creek, Nevada. Cherry Creek led the county in mineral production from 1873-75 and 1880-83. Silver was discovered here in 1872 which brought an influx of prospectors and a post office in 1873. The district was a steady producer until rich new veins were discovered in 1880 causing a new boom (Paher). Some yellowing at the left where the stub had been. Red pen cancellation.
