<td width="100%">
Here is a darling seated bulldog made of chalkware with airbrushed coloring in black, yellow, green, and red. He has such a serious face--like my dog when she is trying to be sure I won't eat that last bite without sharing it with her. Chalkware figurines were the cheaply-made prizes in early 20th Century carnivals; this is why they are very fragile and often damaged. This bulldog is in quite unusually good condition, showing minor paint loss (tip of one ear & tiny nicks in the paint here & there) or chips (a small area over one eye; see photo). The pose is very endearing.
