Four TLSs from Herzog to Senator Daniel P. Moynihan, one signed “Chaim Herzog” and three signed “Vivian,” 8.25 x 11.75, dated between 1983 and 1992. A 1984 letter, in part: “I have found myself of late much on the spot because of the very problematic election results, which enabled me to make full use of the discretion given by law to the President. It has not be easy, but I have been guided only by my conscience and do hope that things will work out and that we shall achieve some stability which is absolutely vital if we are to overcome our present economic woes.” A 1991 letter, in part: “Today is the 16th anniversary of our common struggle at the General Assembly against the infamous Resolution 3379…I am sorry to say that after President Bush’s statements at the opening of the current session of the General Assembly there seems to be no initiative or action on the part of the United States to implement the President’s wish.” In overall fine condition.
