<B>Cesar Chavez Typed Letter Signed as Director of the United Farm Workers Organizing Committee</B></I> "<I>Cesar Chavez</B></I>". One page, 5.5" x 7.75", on United Farm Workers letterhead, Delano, California, July 15, 1971, to Dr. David Marcus, Los Angeles, California. In reads in part: "Our work goes well...we have need of organizers...who are willing to work for $5 a week plus room and board...I am continually amazed how many people haven't heard of the Union and the struggles which farm workers have in this day and age." The letter is sold with the usual fold creases, else in fine condition. Chavez's letter is sold with another typed letter signed by his assistant and fellow organizer Andy Anzaldua, 8.5" x 11", on United Farm Workers letterhead, Delano, CA, July 15, 1971, to the same Dr. Marcus.
