<td width="100%">
A ceramic, handled, divided serving dish. The dish is German and carries the mark (an R on the bottom) of Johann Heinrich Koch and was produced between 1805 and 1816. The dish is oblong with an irregular crenulated margin, with a long dimension of 14 inches and with each division being 10 ¼ inches wide. The center of each of the two sections of the dish has a floral pattern in yellows and blues against a white background. The central ridge, which separates the sections and carries the handle, is decorated with strokes of pink bordered in gold. The handle is white with gold decoration on the top. The central bowls grade toward the margin into a green and the upper edge is bordered in gold. There is no decoration on the bottom except the letter ?R?. The gold is worn around the edges and on the top of the handle. There are a few small irregularities and pits in the glaze but they are only apparent under close examination.
