(1) Livro das Moedas do Brasil 1643-1981 by Russo, Arnaldo. Laborgraf Artes Gráficas S.A. 1981. Original pictorial boards. Very Good. 12mo. 394 pages. b&w plated throughout. Highlighted. Light pencil notations throughout. Paper tabs added. Appears to be a working copy.
(2) The Half Dollars of Colombia 1868-1969 by Burnett, Jr., Davis. Davis Burnett, Jr. 1979. 12mo. 60 pages. Original pictorial card covers. Fine. b&w plates. Inscribed to Porter by the author. this monograph deals primarily with the coins called Medio Peso, Cinco Decimos, Cincuenta Centavos and 50 Centavos. Also included is the Santander necessity issue of 1902 and the Lazareto Leper Colony issues of 1901, 1921 and 1928. The author presents the coins according to date and type. He also provides valuations according to grade and rarity according to date and type. Even though the valuations are not current this is an important reference for date types and rarity values.
