Width 6 ½ in.

The plump naked female figure holds her spread hands against her chest. Her broad feet are joined at the arch by a hollow bridge. A lightly indicated navel is above a strongly indicated pubic triangle, while an incised horizontal line defines a collarbone ridge. The trapezoidal head with flattened top bears strongly modeled features, with an especially prominent aquiline nose. Relief eyebrows, eye rims, and eyes are painted black. Ear openings served as air escapes during firing. Along the top edge of the head pairs of holes, centered and at either side, still have partial cord ties remaining. A roll of slightly twisted cords is around the neck. Rolls of cord around either ankle are knotted at front. Toes and fingers are indicated by incised slashes.

Provenance
Dave DeRoche, Piedmont, California
