The present celadon-colored jade bowl is embellished with a revolving floral relief of chrysanthemums. This noble flower (juhua ??) is a symbol of longevity. This type of vessel is known as a ‘marriage’ bowl and, with its carefully chosen auspicious decoration was particularly popular during the Qing dynasty.



Condition: The bowl is in good condition with only minor signs of age. It measures 5 x 17.5 cm (height x length).
