Original prototype painting of the Friendship 7, Aurora 7, and Sigma 7 mission emblems, entitled ‘Out of This World,’ acrylic on artist’s canvas panel, 14 x 11, hand-painted by Bibby, signed in silver ink by the artist, “Cece Bibby, © 2002.” In very fine condition. Bibby was the artist who originally designed and hand-painted these insignias onto the three Mercury capsules represented in the artwork. This work is the final prototype which was used to produce the 12 that would follow and be available to collectors. The edition was originally planned to be 15, however Bibby fell ill and was unable to complete them.
