Caucasian Miquelet flintlock pistol with ornate niello silver decorated stock circa late 18th to early 19th century. The pistol measures 17” overall with 11 ½” barrel of approximately .52 caliber smoothbore. The stock and mounts are finely decorated and remain in very good condition with only slight losses to the black niello decoration and the forend shows exposed wood and was probably originally covered with leather as was the fashion in this era. A very decorative and completely untouched original chieftain’s pistol of high grade. Est.: $3,000-$6,000.
