Letter to Mikhalio Vasilievich supporting a decision of his. In full: “We received your report of November 26th. We support the decision made by you on Baron Herbert’s request to release his two loaded ships under the Austrian flag from our ports of Taganrog and Herson. As for the money requested by Rear Admiral Ushakov and the Black Sea Admiralty needed for the repair of the local fleet and fitting it for action for the future campaign we will order the authorization, and furthermore, we confirm the speedy sending of funds that were not provided for the Black Sea Fleet.” In fine condition, with vertical fold through a single letter of signature, and a bit of scattered light toning and foxing.
