Cast metal Special Officer, Indian Service, Omaha Reservation shield badge with brass center piece with raised panel of Indian Chief in full feather headdress and brass ribbon at bottom of badge with the number 12. This badge is in overall very good condition showing some wear and a nice patina; the back side is stamped in small numerals “1889”; originally in the award-winning Gordon Matson Indian Police Servicecollection.
