Polish biochemist (1884-1967) generally credited with the first formulation of the concept of vitamins in 1912. Two items: TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, Funk Foundation for Medical Research letterhead, January 18, 1953. Funk complies with a request for an autographed photo and sends an explanation of his work with vitamins; and a vintage matte-finish 5 x 7 portrait signed in blue ink. In very good condition, with mild to moderate creasing to the letter and light rippling to the photo. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. RRAuction COA.
