Baseball legends Casey Stengel and Whitey Ford have hand signed this postcard Stengel, An 8-time world series champion during his days as a player and manager, Stengel is a member of Major League Baseballs all-time team in addition to being inducted into the baseball hall of fame. He holds the unique distinction of being the only player/manager to have his number retired by both the New York Mets and the New York Yankees. Edward 'Whitey' Ford's control and precision as pitcher of the New York Yankees is what led team manager Casey Stengel to refer to him as the 'money pitcher.' The eight-time All-Star won 10 of his 22 World Series appearances the most pitcher appearances ever and earned the Cy Young Award in 1961. 'The Chairman of the Board' a nickname given to him for confidence and intelligence on the mound was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974.
