Cased with accessories Colt Model 1849 Pocket percussion revolver, London address, British proofed, .31 cal., 4” octagon barrel, blue, case hardened and silver finish, varnished wood grips, #7517. This gun is in overall excellent condition showing 35% original blue finish on barrel and cylinder with strong cylinder scene; approx. 50% muted original case colors on frame, hammer and loading lever, and approx. 90% silver plating on the grip and back straps. The bore is very good, the action crisp, the markings fine and all matching visible serial numbers. The English case is in overall very good condition with the often-found English red lined interior and printed directions affixed to the inside of the lid; there is a Colt bullet mold, a combination nipple wrench and screwdriver, a James Dixon brass bag style powder flask, an Eley Bros. cap tin, a cleaning rod with wood handle and several lead conical bullets contained in the case. The exterior of the case is in overall very good to fine condition with an unmarked brass inscription plaque inlaid into the lid, tight hinges, excellent fit, brass key escutcheon and some scattered nicks and mars from storage.
