Cased pepper-box revolver showing agents label in lid reading Thomas K. Baker Gun Maker with his information and address in London. The pistol is unmarked but of good quality and shows British proofs. The frame is engraved German silver and the pistol is 6 shot and approximately .42 caliber smoothbore, double action, measuring 9 ¼” overall with 3 ¾” barrel cluster. The frame and grips are in very good condition and the frame is nicely engraved. The grips show a couple of stress cracks and small marks but are generally very good with nice with nice burl wood. The lock, trigger guard and barrels show some light cleaning and some minor pitting and erosion. The case is lined in green English felt with brass hardware and the case shows some normal aging. A flask, screwdriver and loading rod are included. The condition of the case is very good and may have been English relined long ago. The exterior of the box is veneered hardwood possibly mahogany with brass mounts and remains in good condition with just normal aging. Es.: $1,700-$3,400.
