Cased pair of period factory style engraved Remington New Model Police cartridge conversion revolvers, .36 cal., 4-1/2” octagon barrels, nickel finishes, deluxe rosewood grips, #15652 and #15782. These guns are matching in engraving and in condition showing approx. 99% original finish on both guns, fine bores, crisp actions and markings, rosewood grips on #15652 are fine with some scattered old mars to the finish; the leftgrip of #15782 shows more pronounced mars and scratches to the finish of the left grip; casing is original and deluxe with brass escutcheon plaque and brass border lining on top of lid; some damage to veneer on leftside of casing base; interior red baize is overall good, guns are in French style forms with wood block for 48 cartridges (included with this lot) and a covered compartment for the key to the case’s lock that works withthis key. A beautiful pair of New Model Police revolvers in a deluxe casing. Est.: $6,000-$12,000.
