Cased pair of Rizzini 28ga side by side boxlock shotguns with English style straight stocks, single triggers, auto ejectors, 26” barrels, serial #1028 and #1029. Gun #1 is choked “Cylinder “ (right) and approx.“Modified” (left). Gun #2 is choked “Cylinder” and approx. “Modified” to “Improved Cylinder” (left). The guns are nicely stocked in select grained walnut and measure 14-3/4” from the trigger to the endof the checkered wood butts. The stocks show a satin finish and select grain, tight checkering and fancy pattern. The pair are nicely scroll engraved with deep relief chiseled fences and floral motifs withpierced releases, weighing slightly under 5lbs. The owner’s plaques engraved under the belly of the stocks are engraved “PH”, indicating ownership by Paul Henry, Consul to Costa Rica and well-known shooter. The pairare fine to near excellent condition showing some slight use, minor firing, 98-99%. From the Robert Petersen collection. Est: $4,500 - $9,000.
