Cased engraved and Gold washed large frame brass DA Pinfire Revolver, 11mm cal., 6 1/4" round barrel, raised carved Ebony grips, #10178. This gun is in overall excellent condition showing relief vine & flower engraving on the frame, cylinder, barrel and trigger guard, Belgian proofs, approx. 60% Gold wash over brass remaining, steel hammer & trigger, lanyard ring in butt, swing down loading gate, excellent raised carved Ebony grips in vine and flower motif that matches the engraving on the gun. Crisp action, good bore, ejector rod retained. The leather covered wood case is in very good condition measuring approx. 14" x 6" x 3" with brass presentation plaque on lid marked "P. Bastien" and trimmed in brass tacks, the interior shows its original red material lining with two compartments with lids and shows only slight wear from the recoil shield, a functioning key is also present. A seldomly found variation of a large frame pinfire revolver with an inscription on the lid that may be researchable. Est. $5,000-8,000
