Cased and elaborately etched pinfire revolver signed “Lefaucheux A’ Paris” showing makers stamp and serial number 3279. The pistol measures 8 ½” overall with 3 ¼” octagon barrel of approximately 7.5 mm pin fire. The metal surfaces are bright orcoin finished and show elaborate floral etching in the classic French 19th-century style. The light-colored Walnut grips are very good plus to near fine with most of the original varnish and just some slight scratches. The metal surfaces are fine to near excellent. The hammer is made without a spur and intended to be double action only. The trigger shows Lefaucheux patent markings for the folding trigger. The pistol is contained within its original to the period velvet linedtrunk style casing which is adorned by brass tacks. The case shows two compartments which one contains a cleaning brush and a working key. The case is in very good plus to near fine condition with just some minor impressions, slight fadingand some dust. The exterior of the case is covered in black Moroccan leather and is very good with normal cracking and aging only. A very ornate and interesting Lefaucheux with dual signature on the barrel and trigger. Est.: $1400-$2800
