Cased and Engraved Colt Second Generation Model 1851 Navy Percussion Revolver with Carved Ivory Grip and Accessories

This example has a large amount of floral scroll engraving on the barrel, barrel lug, frame and back strap with flourishes of floral scroll on the sides of the loading lever, trigger guard bow, butt and on the sides of the hammer. Fitted with a one piece ivory grip with the Mexican eagle carved on the left side. With a glass lidded walnut display case and Colt Signature Series accessories consisting of an empty cap tin, a powder flask, a two cavity bullet mold and a screwdriver/nipple wrench.

Professionally embellished, the barrel retains 99% plus of the blue finish with some very minor pitting visible under the finish on the top flat. The cylinder retains 95% plus of the original blue finish with some wear on the face of the cylinder and a slight drag line. 99% of the bright fiery case colors remain. 90% plus of the silver plated finish remains on the grip straps with some wear on the heel, near the screw holes at the top and some minor flaking near the engraving. The ivory grip is very good as stained with several age cracks. The case is good with scattered scratches, dings and wear.
