Very similar in design of the early Smith & Wesson tip up revolvers. This revolver was most likely made by Tipping & Lawden. The revolver is marked "W.H. BLANCH LIVERPOOL PATENT No 368." on the top strap. Alternating "crown/V" and "crown/GP" London proofmarks are stamped on the chambers of the cylinder and bottom of the barrel. The matching serial number is marked on the butt and back of the barrel lug. Blade front and notch rear sights, completely silver-plated and fitted with smooth ivory grips. Complete in a wooden case with a blank brass shield and banner inset on the lid, blue felt lining with label affixed to the inside of the lid which reads "JOHN BLANCH & SON, / Gun & Rifle Makers, / Manufacturers of Imperial Breechloading Fire Arms / 29, GRACECHURCH STREET / London". The interior has five compartments: two with lids with ivory pulls, a nickel oiler, wood-handled screwdriver and iron cleaning rod with a brass handle.
BBL: 3 inch octagon solid rib

Gauge: 22 RF
Finish: silver
Grips: ivory
Serial Number: 368
Condition: Very fine. The revolver retains 90% original silver plating with flaking on the cylinder, frame around the cylinder, grip straps and on the hammer. There is scattered pin point blistering with some minor flaking on the left side plate. The grips are excellent with a caramel patina on the left side and a lighter mellow patina on the right side. There are a couple of small hairline age cracks on the upper right side. The markings are clear and crisp. The action is excellent. The case is excellent with some minor dents and scratches on the exterior and some stains and minor contact wear to the lining. All accessories are also excellent.
