This commemorative Colt Single Action revolver has been engraved by Master Engraver Alvin White and features floral scroll and punch dot engraving on the barrel, frame, forward cylinder flats, butt and trigger guard. The outer edge of the ejector housing has an oblong scallop border panel flanked by floral scroll wedges and the frame ahead of the cylinder has a square diamond and circle design over a star burst. The muzzle has a gold inlaid band, with two bands on the breech end and there is a gold inlaid band around the rear of the cylinder. The top of the back strap is inscribed "FRIENDSHIP" amid floral scroll engraving and the back strap is inscribed "Richard Pettine" and "William Woodward". (No factory letter available to writer to confirm this inscription.) The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address, the left side with the 125th Anniversary marking and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by a gold Rampant Colt. Just below the Rampant Colt is signed "A.A.W.". The ejector rod head, cylinder pin, hammer, trigger and front and back straps are gold plated, with blue on the remaining parts. Fitted with smooth walnut grips with gold Colt medallions. Complete in a Colt branded wooden case with red lining and maroon Colt Heritage box.

Condition: Excellent as custom shop embellished with 99% original blue finish remaining showing a small area of light oxidation on top of the barrel. Virtually all of the gold plating and gold inlay remains and overall there are only light handling/storage marks. The grips are excellent with few small very minor dings. The engraving is crisp. The action is excellent. The case and box are excellent.
