Cased Set of Two Consecutively Numbered and Engraved Colt Second Generation 1851 Navy Percussion Revolvers with Accessories -A) Gold Plated Colt 1851 Navy Revolver


A) This revolver is completely gold plated and has an ample amount of flowing floral scroll engraving on the barrel, barrel lug, loading lever, frame, hammer, trigger guard bow and back strap. There is a wolf's head engraved on each side of the hammer. Fitted with a smooth walnut one piece grip. With a Colt walnut display case lined in wine colored velvet that houses both guns and the accessories which include an empty cap tin, a two cavity bullet mold, a powder flask and a nipple wrench/screwdriver. Consignor's notes indicate that the gold and silver finish were experimental.

Near new with only some scattered minor handling/storage marks along with some minor wear on the ramrod and a light drag line on the cylinder. The case is good with most of the partitions reglued and some scattered scratches and wear overall. The accessories are all very good or better.

B) This revolver is consecutively numbered and similarly engraved to the "A" gun. The only thing different is that it is completely silver plated.
