The left side of the barrel is marked "1860-61 RUSSELL, MAJORS AND WADDELL / PONY EXPRESS CENTENNIAL MODEL 1960-61", the top with the one line address and the right side "COLT SINGLE ACTION FRONTIER SCOUT 22 L.R.". The revolver is complete with "B" in a case with plexiglass lid, red lining, two extra nickel unfluted cylinders, one marked with the founders, the other with the Pony Express route and a commemorative medallion. Also with the revolver is a wooden Colt case and cardboard box.

Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains virtually all of the original gold finish with the slightest handling marks. The grips are excellent with scattered minor dings and dents. The case for the pair is excellent with minor wear. The extra Colt case is fair with minor to moderate scratches overall and the cardboard box is excellent.

B) Colt Pony Express Presentation Single Action Army Revolver
In case with "A". The left side of the barrel is marked "-RUSSELL MAJORS AND WADDELL- / PONY EXPRESS PRESENTATION MODEL", the top with the one line address and the right side "COLT .45 PEACEMAKER". Also with the revolver is a Pony Express History and Art Gallery cardboard box, a package with two smaller bronze National Pony Express Centennial Association medallions and a copy of the paperback, "The Hanging Of Bad Jack Slade" by Dabney Otis Collins, hardback copy of "The Pony Express" by Samuel Hopkins Adams, hardback copy of "The Story of the Pony Express" edited by Waddell Smith (signed and numbered) and paperback copy of "Thunder before Lightning The Pony Express in Stamp and Story".
