Cased Pair of W. Parker London Production Percussion Belt Pistols A) Engraved Parker Boxlock Belt Pi
Produced without sights, with a band of engraving around the muzzle, "Maker To His Majesty/ W. PARKER/ HOLBORN LONDON" on the top flats and "crown/ V" and "crown/ GP" on the lower flats around the swiveling ramrod. Engraved frame, with a niter blue folding trigger, fish head hammer and scroll designs on the sides running up the barrel. "5800" is stamped on the bottom of frame, rear of folding trigger on both pistols. A 2 1/4 inch belt hook is attached to the left side of the frame. One piece checkered grip, with fine grain, silver square inscription panels on the back of the wrist and on the butt, and a flared, flat butt. In a brass reinforced hardwood case, with an inscription disc on the lid, original matching name, paper retailers label inside the lid, and compartments holding a nipple wrench, single cavity mold with cutter, leather wrapped powder flask/ bullet carrier, and a key.

Condition: Fine, with 60% of the original case colors, strongest in the protected areas, with a smooth gray patina forming overall. 50% of the blue remains on the ramrod and hook and 85% of the bright niter blue on the trigger, with brown spotting and mild wear. The silver panels show the start of a fine antique patina, and the grip is also fine, with some mild shrinking and pressure dents. Case is fine, with the mother of pearl keyhole escutcheon detached but included, with some mild bending, scattered scratches and pressure dents, and wear appropriate to age on the interior lining. Mechanically excellent.

Condition: Fine, with 60% of the original case colors, strongest on the barrel, with areas of mixed brown and gray patina. 50% of the original blue finish on the ramrod and hook, with areas of spotting and brown, with 90% niter blue on the trigger. Grip is also fine with some light pressure dents and attractively aged silver. Mechanically excellent.
