Both knives are 7 7/8 inches long overall, with 4 1/8 inch round tipped blades, flared bolsters, raised scroll designs on the collars, tortoise shell handles with gold scroll inlay and "HG" in conjoined script. The leatherette case holding the pair is white silk and velvet lined with a French cut and "H.G." among the golden scrolls on the lid. 1) Etched steel blade, marked "CARDEILHAG,/A PARIS" on the left side, with a scene of 2 hunters in the woods with a dog on the left, and a dog driving a rabbit to a hunter on the right. 2) Silver finished golden blade, with raised oak leaf patterns on either side of the spine and a set of 4 small proofmarks on the right side.

Condition: Both are excellent, with some dark spots on blade #2 and minimal handling marks. Case is fine, with some edge wear and scuffs.
