A) This lot consists of two identically engraved Harkom produced percussion pistols in a Harkom case with accessories. The pistols feature a blue finished octagon rifled barrel with a pin front sight and "HARKOM, EDINBURGH." marked on the top flat. The barrel has a lower silver rib with an iron swivel ramrod. The frame is also silver and features a scroll engraving with a floral pattern around the upper tang screw. The scrollwork extends to the casehardened hammer and blued trigger guard. There is a hammer safety, a fixed notch rear sight on the frame, and a belt hook attached to the left side of the frame. The one piece grip is adorned with a silver dot inlaid leaf floral pattern at the top and at the bottom, with the center of the grip featuring a skip line checkered pattern accented with silver dot inlays. The butt cap is silver and features a compartment with the lid of the compartment having a floral engraving. A partitioned case accompanies the pistols. The inside of the lid has a Joseph Harkom paper label. Included are the following accessories: a wad cutter with wooden hammer (handle also acts as a ramrod), an ivory percussion cap container, a bullet mold marked with the numbers "35" and "32" and a double faced eagle flask.
