Cased Pair of Consecutively Serial Numbered Alvin A. White Engraved and Gold Inlaid Second Generation Colt Percussion Revolvers with Boxes and Factory Letter -A) Colt Model 1851 Navy Revolver


A) These revolvers have masterfully executed class "B" factory engraving performed by Alvin A. White. There is floral scroll engraving on the rear portion of the barrel, the barrel lug, the flat sides of the loading lever, the frame, the trigger guard bow, the butt, the top and bottom of the back strap and the hammer is engraved with the wolf's head on both sides. There is a gold inlaid band at the muzzle and a flush gold inlaid Rampant Colt logo on the left side of the barrel lug. Fitted with a smooth one piece walnut grip. The factory letter confirms the configuration of both revolvers with the type of stocks as "Not Listed', that they were shipped with a two drawer presentation case, that they were shipped to Stacy Williams Co. on July 21st, 1987, that the 3rd Model Dragoon was processed on Custom Shop Order "1506" and that the 1851 Navy was processed on Custom Shop Order "1791". With a Colt Custom Shop walnut two gun display case lined in wine colored velvet and a maroon Colt box with Custom Shop label that is marked "1507" for the Custom Shop order number.

Near new with only some slight handling/storage marks and a faint drag line on the cylinder. Some of the brass has taken on an aged patina. The case is very good with scattered scratches and light dings. The box is good with edge wear, minor flaking and tape.

B) Similar to the "A" gun. With a Colt Black Powder Series box numbered to the gun with the Custom Shop order number on the label marked "1790".
