A) Manufacturer: Williamson Moore Firearms Company Model: Derringer
Manufactured circa 1855, this matching pair of percussion pistols feature floral scroll engraving on the frame, hammer, trigger guard, buttcap and compartment door. The top of the barrel is engraved "WILKINSON PALL-MALL LONDON". There is a swivel style ram rod secured on the solid under rib, sliding hammer safeties, double triggers, and fixed post and notch sights. The trigger guard, under rib and ram rod are blue with casehardened remaining parts. Fitted with a one-piece finely checkered walnut grip with cap compartment in the butt. The two are complete in a original baize lined mahogany case with recessed folding brass handle on the lid and James Wilkinson & Son label affixed to the inside of the lid. The case has eight compartments, two with lids and ivory pulls. In the case is a wooden handled brass bullet seater, ebony handled nipple wrench and screwdriver, an iron single cavity round bullet mold marked "No 52", small Dixon & Sons combination powder flask/bullet holder with 4 round lead bullets and approximately 9 other round lead bullets.

Excellent. The pistol retains 95% original bright case colors with a smooth gray patina on the lower left side barrel and some smooth gray patina on the edges of the frame. The trigger guard and under rib retain 80% original bright blue finish with edge wear and some flaking. The grip is also excellent with a few light dents and handling marks, and sharp checkering. The markings and engraving are crisp and clear. The action is excellent. The case is fine with the lid being slightly warped and showing a few small gouges on the lower right hand corner as well as some minor dings and scratches. The lining shows a small tear in the lid and some minor contact wear. All of the accessories are very good or better.
