Cased Harrington & Richardson Semi Auto Pistols
Cased pair of Harrington & Richardson self-loading semi-automatic pistols in calibers .25 ACP and .32ACP. These fine and scarce pistols are displayed in a solid wood display case measuring approximately 10” X 9” and fitted with brass corners, feet, hasp. It also features a carry handle. Inside the case, the two pistols are secured in a form fitting bottom and lid of stunning green fabric. The Harrington & Richardson conpany was located in Worcester, Massachusetts. Their very high quality auto pistols competed successfully with better known Colt, S&W and Savage products, yet were made in much smaller quantities. They are almost exact replicas of the British Webley & Scott pistols who
actually licensed H&R to manufacturre and market them in the United States. The smaller, and quite rare .25 caliber auto pistol is serial numbered 3091. This model was only made from 1912 – 1916 in very limited numbers. They are rarely encountered today. The larger .32 caliber pistol is numbered 11745 and was made in slightly higher numbers from 1916-1924. Both pistols are in excellent condition showing bright blue, excellent H&R embossed black hard rubber grips, case colored trigger guards, corrrect bright magazines and trigger guards. All Harrington & Richardson markings and patent dates are sharp and the pistols are in mechanically excellent condition inside and out. The larger .32 caliber model is factory fitted with both a manual safety switch on the left side of the frame in addition to a grip safety, both of which function correctly. The smaller .25 caliber pistol is correctly fitted with
only the frame mounted safety. The outside front of the case has a brass identification plate engraved with the Harrington & Richardson name etc. There is also a small “30” in brass numerals on the case, the meaning of which is unknown but perhaps a salesman sample case, or a museum collection number. A stunning cased pair of rare American auto pistols made during and just after World War I. Serial Numbers: 11745 for the .32, 3091 for the .25. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic firearm, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
