Very good plus. The barrel retains 30% original blue finish, (mainly on the lower flats), mixed with smooth gray patina. The cylinder scene is clear with scattered strong traces of original blue mixed with smooth gray patina. There is light pitting around the nipples. The remaining metal surfaces have a smooth gray patina. The trigger guard and backstrap retain 40% original silver plating in protected areas of the trigger guard, on the top of the backstrap and on the butt. The balance has a natural attractive aged patina. The grip has been expertly refinished and remains very fine with some minor wear on the right side lower edge and light handling marks overall. The markings and engraving are clear. Mechanically fine. The case is fine with minor dings and scratches on the outside, heavy wear to the lining where the front sight and cylinder make contact and some light contact wear overall. The accessories are all fine. This is a very attractive and authentic factory engraved Colt Model 1849 Pocket with case and accessories!
