Cased Engraved Pair of Unmarked European Percussion Pistols with Accessories A) Engraved Unmarked Pe
This very fine matching pair of percussion pistols have no visible markings. The barrel is blue and the remaining parts appear to have been casehardened. The lock, hammer, trigger guard, breech plug and barrel tang are floral scroll engraved with a fish motif on the hammer head. Trigger guard spur with decorative finial, dovetailed blade front sight and fixed notch rear sight mounted on the tang and mounted with a one piece walnut half-stock with a relief carved floral vine design on the forend, grooved grip area, decorative buttcap and wedge escutcheons with scalloped engraved border and a shell design on the head of the wedge. Complete in a wooden case with a brass initial shield on the lid inscribed with a fancy intertwined "MC" and royal blue velvet lining. In the case is a wooden mallet, wooden cap container (partially full), wooden ramrod, wooden cleaning rod with jag and attachments, brass oiler, powder flask, wooden handled screwdriver, two extra percussion nipples and iron bullet mold.

Condition: Very fine. The barrel retains 95% of the bright original with thinning/wear on the muzzle, some high edge wear, signs of some light cleaning and some light spotting. The remaining surfaces have a smooth mottled gray patina. The stock is also very fine with a few scattered minor dents and dings. The carving remains sharp. The engraving is crisp and clear. The action is excellent. The case is very good with some scattered minor scratches and scuffs on the exterior and some minor contact wear and staining on the lining. The accessories are all fine.

Condition: Very fine. The barrel retains 95% original finish showing high edge wear, evidence of some light cleaning and some minor spotting. The remaining surfaces have smooth gray patina. The stock is very good with a few minor dents and dings, mainly concentrated on the left flat. The carving remains sharp. The engraving is crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
