Double bead sights, with a faint marking on top of the left barrel near the breech and a wedge of floral scroll engraving on the breech end of the rib. The under sides of the barrels are marked with the matching serial number and the flats with various British proof marks. The action, locks, trigger guard and break lever are engraved with tight English scroll patterns with "HOLLAND & HOLLAND" on each lock plate, "HOLLAND'S/PATENT" on the break lever and "ROYAL/HAMMERLESS/EJECTOR" on the underside. Tang mounted automatic safety with gold "SAFE", gold inlaid cocking indicators and mounted with a multi-point checkered walnut splinter forearm and straight grip stock with tear drop flats, gold initial oval and replacement vent Pachmayr recoil pad. 2 3/4 inch chambers, choked extra full/modified with ejectors. Length of pull is 14 1/2 inches. Complete in a leather and oak case with leather straps and handle, brass disk on the outside of the lid and brass corner protectors. The lining is red felt with Holland & Holland label affixed to the inside of the lid. In the case is two piece cleaning rod, nickel Holland & Holland marked oiler, three ebony handled screwdrivers, two nickel snap caps, a container with two extra firing pins and cleaning rod attachments. There is also an evelope with four Holland & Holland lid labels and various advertisements and a Holland & Holland catalog.

Condition: Partially refinished, the barrel, which retain 80% thinning blue finish, with a small amount of minor spotting on the left barrel. The remaining metal surfaces have been cleaned and now have a smooth gray patina, with some minor oxidation. The wood is good. The oil finish on the stock shows some heat or solvent damage and has the lining imprint on areas, mainly the left side. There are a few scattered minor scratches and dings and some minor oxidation on the forearm hardware. The recoil pad has been non-professionally installed. Unless noted above the markings and engraving are clear. Mechanically fine. The case is fair with heavy wear on the exterior and some mildew on the inside including on the leather pouchs that hold the cleaning rod accessories. The remaining accessories are good or better.
