Cased English percussion rifle by T. Hepplestone of Manchester, .36 cal., 30” round barrel, brown finish, checkered wood half stock with horn forend tip, finely stippled steel butt plate. This gun is in overall very good to near fine conditionshowing considerable original brown finish on barrel, classic tight English scroll engraving on lockplate, hammer, trigger guard and tang, brass tipped cleaning rod, crisp action, sharp markings including Hepplestone markings on barrel andlockplate, very good + bore and wood stock with minor old mars from handling and storage. The wood casing is in overall fair condition with maroon lining, brass latches, some staining to lid and a little warping, several interior partitionsseparated but included; casing has a Dixon & Sons powder flask, two wood handled tools (nipple wrench and a screwdriver) and an F. Joyce & Co. percussion cap tin; a high quality English percussion rifle with casing. (Antique). Est.: $3,000-$6,000.
