Model 5 version, produced circa 1862. Front post sight with notch rear sight, marked with the two line New York address on top of the barrel, patent markings in one of the cylinder flutes and on the cylinder pin. Full fluted cylinder, checkered hammer spur and smooth spur trigger. Grips are checkered one piece wraparound ivory. Walnut case lined with red velvet with Dixon bag powder flask and reproduction bullet mold.

Condition: Fine, approximately 40% blue finish remaining overall with the balance a dark brown patina mixed with spotting, tiny dings in the top backstrap and both sides of receiver. Grips are very good as slightly undersized, with a crack in the left side, age cracking of the base and a fine color. The wood case is very good with a few scattered tiny dings and soiling and contact wear of the lining.
