Cased Colt Pony Express Presentation Single Action Army Revolver with Books
Manufactured in 1964, this is one of only 1,004 Pony Express Presentation Model revolvers made. The revolver is complete in a case with plexiglass lid, red lining, two extra unfluted cylinders, one marked with the founders, the other with the Pony Express route and a commemorative medallion. Also with the revolver is a small Holy Bible, two smaller bronze National Pony Express Centennial Association medallions, a copy of the paperback, "The Hanging Of Bad Jack Slade" by Dabney Otis Collins, , hardback copy of "The Pony Express" by Samuel Hopkins Adams, hardback copy of "The Story of the Pony Express" edited by Waddell Smith (signed and numbered) and paperback copy of "Thunder before Lightning The Pony Express in Stamp and Story".

Condition: Near new. The revolver retains 99% plus original nickel finish with some scattered minor scratches and handling marks. There is a visible drag line on the cylinder. The grips are excellent with a few minor dings. The two extra cylinders are excellent with all of their original finish shows a few light scratches and handling marks. The case is very good with a number of scratches in the plexiglass.
