Cased Colt Pony Express Presentation Single Action Army Revolver with Books
Manufactured in 1964, this is one of only 1,004 Pony Express Presentation Model revolvers made. The left side of the barrel is marked "-RUSSELL MAJORS AND WADDELL- / PONY EXPRESS PRESENTATION MODEL", the top with the one line address and the right side "COLT .45 PEACEMAKER". The revolver is complete in a case with plexiglass lid, red lining, two extra unfluted cylinders, one marked with the founders, the other with the Pony Express route and a commemorative medallion. Also with the revolver is a small Holy Bible, two smaller bronze National Pony Express Centennial Association medallions, a copy of the paperback, "The Hanging Of Bad Jack Slade" by Dabney Otis Collins, , hardback copy of "The Pony Express" by Samuel Hopkins Adams, hardback copy of "The Story of the Pony Express" edited by Waddell Smith (signed and numbered) and paperback copy of "Thunder before Lightning The Pony Express in Stamp and Story".

Condition: Near new. The revolver retains all of the original finish with a few scattered minor scratches and handling marks. The grips are as new. The extra cylinders are excellent with all of the original finish and some minor handling marks. The case is good with a few minor dings and scratches on the exterior and a few minor scratches on the plexiglass.
